The Pasadena Group of the Sierra Club has added their political and financial support to the No Big Dig! lawsuit to challenge the L.A. County Flood Control District's Devil's Gate Sediment Removal and Management Project. The County's plan, which the Board of Supervisors approved last November, has ignored overwhelming public concern about air quality, wildlife habitat, and quality of life. David Czamanske, Chair of the Pasadena Group, said:

"It is our belief that the project as proposed by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has significant environmental impacts on the land, water, and air resources of Hahamongna Watershed Park, as well as on the quality of life in neighboring communities, that have not been sufficiently described and mitigated in the EIR."
