Friends of Hahamongna Urges Pasadena Council to Defend Hahamongna

Save Hahamongna

October 28, 2014 - Nina Chomsky and Betsy Boer of the Friends of Hahamongna went to the Pasadena City Council meeting last night to sound the alarm about LA County Flood Control District's horrendous Final Environmental Impact Report(FEIR) on Devil's Gate Dam in Hahamongna Watershed Park. Nina and Betsy made it clear that the County had not listened to the public input and Council approved recommendations about how to develop a sustainable flood and sediment management program. Councilmembers responded with pointed questions and real concern about the County program and promised to focus on the matter before the County Board of Supervisors considers the flood district program on November 12th.

It's a very interesting discussion. Kudos to Nina and Betsy for their efforts to save Hahamongna.
